Principal's Report Header

Greetings Logger Families!

What a change of weather, from snowy days and remote school to 60 degrees and sunny. I love Washington weather!

As you have probably heard, the Onalaska School District levy failed by about 55 votes. The school board has decided to try again with the vote day on April 22. For information about the levy, the District has posted on its website and Facebook page. You can access that information here:

If you have specific questions, I highly recommend you reach out to the district. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have (360) 978-4111. Please remember to do your civic duty and vote.

Winter sports have finished in dramatic fashion. Ony Wrestler Benito Escalara took 3rd place in the state competition for his weight class! Congratulations to him for all of his hard work and the other 5 wrestlers that also made it to state. Both boys and girls basketball teams were only one win away from going to state, but just fell short. I am excited for both of these teams next year as they continue to grow and improve.

Spring sports will start practices on Monday March 3. Track & field, girls softball, boys baseball and new to Onalaska is boys soccer. Newly hired head coach Luis Magana and his assistant Alan Contraras will lead the team.

Some important upcoming dates are no school March 6,7 for mid-winter break, a Red Cross blood drive will be held on March 27, Parent Teachers conferences will be held the week of March 31 with spring break the following week.

I encourage you to download the Onalaska app found in your app store at no cost and to follow the high school on Facebook to keep up to date on important happenings and see all of the great things happening here: https://www.facebook.com/people/Onalaska-High-School/61565789954316/

Sincerely,
