We are excited to share our very own Riley Martin, a Junior at Onalaska High School, is running for Miss Lewis Teen 2025.

The Miss Lewis County Teen program is part of the Miss Lewis County Scholarship Program. The purpose of the Miss Lewis County Scholarship Program is to hold a yearly competition providing educational scholarships to young women competing in our Miss and Teen program. After that, our board members continue their work throughout the year supporting the current title holders as they compete in the Miss Washington and Miss Washington Teen competitions, and in their participation in the many programs and events that take place throughout Lewis County.

Riley is the daughter of Tezrah and Steve Martin, and has two siblings Tyler (15), Jordan (9). She is no stranger to working toward the betterment of her community. In 2024 she served as the Lewis County Dairy Ambassador and was Apple Harvest Queen for the 2022-2023 season. She also served in FFA Chapter Officer positions as Reporter in her freshman year and as Vice President in both her sophomore and junior years. She has also been an ASB Treasurer, National Honor Society Member, and has participated in Cheer. While Riley has not settled on a career of choice after graduation, she is considering Real Estate or Nursing.

Riley has chosen “Cultivating Connection”  to connect agriculture and community through farm-to-table as her competition platform. She hopes to create a community service initiative that promotes farm-to-table practices while fostering agricultural education. Through partnerships with local farmers, schools, and community organizations, she hopes to develop programs that teach individuals about where their food comes from, the benefits of eating locally, and the importance of sustainable practices. These programs will include workshops, farm visits, and cooking demonstrations that highlight the versatility and value of locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, she aims to establish community supported agriculture programs that provide families with regular access to fresh produce while supporting local farmers.

Another part of the Miss Lewis County Teen program is to select a “Little Sister” who is between the ages of 8 to 10. This little sister will be introduced with their Big Sister Riley, will perform a dance for the second opening of the program and will be part of the closing ceremony, as well. Riley has chosen Devin Sturza, a student at Onalaska Elementary School.

The Miss Lewis County and Miss Lewis County Teen Scholarship Program competition will be held in March of 2025, however if you would like to support Riley in her quest to become Miss Lewis County Teen, you can do that in a number of ways.
